The Role of the Registered Social Worker in Contributing to Better Outcomes for Scotland: Guidance for Local Authorities

This Guidance will highlight the contribution of the social work profession to delivering better outcomes for Scotland and set out those social work functions which only registered social workers should be accountable for.

Shaping the Future of Care Together

Shaping the Future of Care Together sets out a vision for a new care and support system. The Green Paper highlights the challenges faced by the current system and the need for radical reform to develop a National Care System that is fair, simple and affordable for everyone.

Consultation on the Review of the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) Act 2003

A Review Group undertook a limited review of the Mental Health Act 2003 to consider efficiency and patient experience of the Act. This consultation paper seeks views on the recommendations made by the Review Group to enable the government to make decisions about changes to the legislation.
