If the person you are looking after requires support as a result of their health condition or disability, then they should be offered a care needs assessment by their local authority. Condition Specific Organisations
There are a number of local and national condition specific organisations that can also provide useful support for you and the person you are caring for. These organisations have specialised knowledge about conditions and diagnoses such as dementia, autism, MS and cancer. We have put together a list of some of these organisations. We will aim to update the list regularly. Please do let us know of any organisations or charities that you are aware of and that should be on that list.
