Scottish Government launched their National Carers Strategy at the end of December 2022. This strategy sets out 89 actions which the Scottish Government, local authorities, and other key partners will undertake to ensure that carers in Scotland are supported fully.

The key themes addressed in the Carers Strategy include:

  • Living with Covid-19
  • Valuing, Recognising and Supporting Carer
  • Health and Social Care Support
  • Social and Financial Inclusion
  • Young Carers
