Carers Strategy for Scotland

Carers Strategy for Scotland

Earlier this year, the Minister for Mental Wellbeing and Social Care Kevin Stewart MSP announced that the Scottish Government would develop, with carers and carers organisations, a new Carers Strategy.  He also said that early actions would focus on supporting carers in the recovery from the COVID pandemic.

This page will provide up to date information on the Strategy as the work develops. At the moment, the Carers Strategy is likely to be published in Spring 2022.

Briefings

The National Carer Organisations have developed a range of briefings, informed by carers, which have been submitted to the Scottish Government.  These cover a wide range of topics and aim to assist in the development of the Carers Strategy.  Click on the links to download.
